What will you do when things go wrong?  In this class we will practice and play with different techniques to help people back into their boats if they are damaged or undamaged. If they are damaged we need to know how to transport them, so we will look at different towing scenarios and the suitability for different applications.  The focus will be on safety and ergonomics.

Leadership, group management, and navigation often work their way into this class. It's also one of the fastest filling classes -- it's fun and Ben never seems to run out of challenges for us.

Helmets recommended.  Expect to swim.

Target audience:  developing intermediates; members interested in leading trips for the club.  Participants need to have the endurance and stamina to complete a challenging day.  If you have taken this class before, please wait until Sunday, March 4 to register to give new people a chance sign up.

Prerequisites:

  • Self rescue
  • Rescue others
