Inland Sea Kayakers School (ISKool) is offering an all day sea kayaking class on Saturday, June 29th from 8:30am - 4pm!


The event will be organized into groups of no more than five students per group. Each group will have an ACA-certified instructor. It will offer a track for beginners and another track for more experienced paddlers. 


Note: This is an American Canoe Association (ACA) event. There is a $10 fee for non-ACA members for the insurance. A signed ACA waiver will be required and can be completed at the event sign-in table.


The event is open to ISK members and the general public. We hope you can attend and invite a friend!

  • Details:

    • Date: Saturday, June 29th

    • Time: 8:30am - 4pm

    • Location: Bush Lake boat ramp in Bloomington

  • What to bring:

    • Kayak and kayak gear

      • Sea kayak with flotation or bulkheads

      • Life jacket (required to be worn at all times on the water)

      • Paddle

      • Spray skirt (optional)

      • Paddle float and pump (optional)

    • Appropriate clothing for getting wet (you will get wet)

      • Wetsuit recommended

      • Technical fabric clothing (i.e. no cotton)

      • Foot wear

      • Hat

      • Dry clothes for the ride home

    • Lunch, snacks and drink

    • $10 for ACA insurance (non-ACA members)
